Oakland Athletics center fielder Yoenis Cespedes will  undergo an MRI today on his injured hand, according to HardballTalk.

Cespedes was a late scratch from yesterday’s lineup for the A’s. It marked just the second game the rookie has missed this season.

The 26-year-old is hitting .245/.319/.434 with five home runs and 21 RBI in his first year out of Cuba. After collecting seven extra base hits in April, he has had just one so far in the month of May. The Athletics signed Cespedes to a four-year, $36 million deal in February.
