Knicks' Amare Stoudemire Thanks 'True Fans' For Support After Tough Season

It's plain to see that Amare Stoudemire had a frustrating season with the New York Knicks -- look no further than the massive sling he wore on his left arm last week after punching a fire extinguisher in Miami. But now that it's over, Amare has taken to Twitter and thanked his "true fans" for their support:

Stoudemire averaged 17.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Knicks this year, his least productive season on the court since his rookie year. Off the court was even worse -- he dealt with being the Knicks' player rep during a lengthy lockout, the death of his brother, team chemistry issues including the exit of coach Mike D'Antoni, and of course the infamous glass-punching incident in the playoffs last week.
