Major League Baseball has suspended Brett Lawrie for four games for throwing his helmet at umpire Bill Miller Tuesday night.

Lawrie was upset that he had been called out on strikes on a pitch that appeared to be high and out of the zone. He immediately turned toward Miller and threw his helmet at the ground in his direction before being restrained by coaches and teammates.

The 22-year-old is hitting .289 with three home runs and 17 RBI this season.
