New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees said Thursday that his contract talks with the team have become "extremely frustrating", according to ESPN.com.

"It's been extremely frustrating for me," Brees said, according to the report. "I don't think the negotiation should have been this difficult."

The Saints have had a tumultuous offseason, given the bounty scandal that has sent shock waves through the league. Brees has said that he is committed to getting a deal done, but he's not participated in any offseason events.
