The Toronto Blue Jays have placed first baseman Adam Lind on outright waivers, according to online reports.

If claimed, Lind will be owed the remainder of his four-year, $18 million extension. Otherwise, he will be in Toronto's possession but not part of the 40-man roster. Outright waivers are not revocable, meaning that the Blue Jays could not prevent another team from claiming Lind.
