The University of Memphis Men's Basketball team has concluded its search for a new assistant coach, with CBS Sports' Gary Parrish tweeting that head coach Josh Pastner will hire current Marquette assistant Aki Collins.

Collins will fill the void left by the departure of Tigers assistant Jack Murphy, who left Memphis after this season to become the head coach at Northern Arizona University. Collins developed a reputation as a tireless recruiter at Marquette - similar to Pastner's own background with the Tigers during the John Calipari era. Memphis went 26-9 last season under Pastner, winning the Conference USA regular season and tournament championships before being knocked out in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
