The 33-year-old Youkilis has struggled the past two years. In 27 games this season, he is hitting only .250 with four home runs. Nicknamed "The Greek God of Walks" in the book Moneyball, Youkilis' on-base percentage has also plummeted to .318. He has walked only eight times this year. In 2011, Youkilis made the All-Star team but had his worst season since his rookie year. He hit .258 with 17 homers.
