Long-time Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor is close to an agreement to join ESPN as an NFL analyst, SPORTSbyBROOKS reported in a tweet.

Taylor retired at the end of last season after 15 years in the NFL. The defensive end and outside linebacker made six Pro Bowls and led the league in 2002 with 18.5 sacks.

He spent 13 of those seasons, including 2011, with the Miami Dolphins. He also had one-year stints with the Washington Redskins and New York Jets. Taylor raised his profile off the field by performing on Dancing with the Stars. He finished second on the show's sixth season.
