Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzi left his first rehab start for Triple-A Colorado Springs on Wednesday after appearing to reinjure his left groin, according to Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post.

Tulowitzki hit a two-run homer in his first at-bat and singled in his second. But after acting as if he was going to tag up from first base on a long fly ball to center field, he ran a few steps, returned to the base and removed himself from the game.

Tulowitzki, who is hitting .287 with eight home runs and 27 RBIs this season, was scheduled to play five innings on Wednesday and had hoped to rejoin the Rockies on Sunday or Tuesday. Renck says it's still unclear how big a setback this is.
