If the New England Patriots players thought they could get some extra study time with their playbooks away from the facility this summer, they thought wrong.

Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick won't allow the team to take the playbooks home, according to the Boston Herald.

"We'll make some revisions to it based on some of the things that happened over the weeks," Belichick said. "We'll make some modifications to it. The way the playbook is set up, it kind of changes every camp anyway because of the installation schedule." The Patriots also cancelled the team's mandatory practice and no reason was given for that strange occurrence. The Herald reports that's the first time Belichick has cancelled a mandatory practice.
