The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired what they hope will be their No. 1 goaltender by sending three draft picks and a player to the Nashville Predators in exchange for 24-year-old Swedish netminder Anders Lindback.

Lindback had been overshadowed in Nashville by Pekka Rinne, if someone who stands 6'6" can be overshadowed. Lindback is 16-13-2 with a 2.53 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage in 38 career games.

"He'll get an opportunity to play for us, and we think he's got the ability to develop into a No. 1 goaltender," Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman said. "We've watched a lot of his games. He doesn't have a lot of experience, but we like his size, we like his athletic ability and we like his technique.
