Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports that, according to NHL sources, seven teams have had "significant" conversations with Columbus Blue Jackets general manager about acquiring star right wing Rick Nash, and at least three others have "kicked the tires" to find out what a deal might cost.

Portzline writes that the New York Rangers still appear to be the best fit for Nash, with the San Jose Sharks, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Carolina Hurricanes demonstrating considerable interest.

The most likely scenario is that Nash gets traded next Thursday, on the eve of the draft, or Friday, when the first-round plays out in Pittsburgh. Should draft weekend pass with Nash still in Columbus, the next likely window would be after the start of free agency on July 1.
