Finnish sports magazine Veikkaaja reported on Tuesday that native son Teemu Selanne has decided to play one more season for the Anaheim Ducks.

Selanne, who turns 42 on July 3, has 663 career goals (12th all-time) and posted an impressive 26 (along with 40 assists) this past season, playing all 82 games for the first time since 2006-07.

Kevin Allen of USA Today tweeted that the Ducks say the report is premature:

Even if he does not reach that milestone, he could jump past Jaromir Jagr, Luc Robitaille, Mario Lemieux, Steve Yzerman and Mark Messier into seventh place on the all-time list
