Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks was diagnosed with a mild Grade 1 strain of the subscapularis muscle in his left shoulder on Tuesday, likely keeping him out of action until at least after the All-Star Game.  The test performed this week showed no ligament damage and his labrum is intact.

Danks was already on the disabled list and working on a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday for Triple-A Charlotte when he experienced abnormal soreness. Danks should be ready to start another rehab assignment in the next three to four weeks. Danks is 3-4 with a 5.70 ERA in nine starts this season.
