With the Boston Red Sox apparently renewing efforts to trade third baseman Kevin Youkilis, ESPN's Buster Olney tweets that a handful of teams are in discussions with the Red Sox, and that one team may be in the driver's seat.

Olney later added that Youkilis would replace the struggling Orlando Hudson in the Chicago lineup: It's unclear what the Red Sox might be able to get from the White Sox, but Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe wrote that Boston will probably have to pay most of the rest of Youkilis' 2012 salary and the $1 million to buy out his 2013 option. If that's the case, the Red Sox might still be able to extract a mid-level prospect.
