The Phoenix Suns are the latest potential suitors for Celtics veteran Ray Allen, according to Yahoo Sports Adrian Wojnarowski.

Allen, who is a free agent this summer, is interested in the Suns regardless of whether two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash stays.

Reports earlier in the week linked Allen to the Miami Heat, but Wojnarowski says the Suns have more money available to court the sharpshooter.

The Suns have significant salary-cap space, and could pay Allen more than the Miami Heat or New York Knicks. Suns president Lon Babby had been Allen’s agent for a significant part of his career until Babby started running Phoenix’s basketball operations two years ago.
