Barely 24 hours after Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard demanded a trade to the Brooklyn Nets, Yahoo! Sports reports that the Los Angeles Lakers have entered into trade discussions to acquire the 26 year old.

According to the report, the Lakers would offer center Andrew Bynum to the Magic, while power forward Pau Gasol will likely not be included as the Magic's desire to accumulate a younger roster.

The trade under discussion is similar to the one that would have sent Howard to Los Angeles at the NBA trade deadline in March, before Howard squashed it by opting in to the last year of his contract with the Magic.
