Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Houston Rockets are considering using the amnesty provision on forward Luis Scola, likely within the next 48 hours, in order to create enough salary-cap room to take on the additional contracts the Orlando Magic want to package with Dwight Howard.

Scola has three years and $21 million remaining on his contract. The Magic are said to be trying to move the contracts of guard Jason Richardson (three years, $18.6 million remaining), forward Hedo Turkoglu (two years, $23.8 million) and guard Chris Duhon (two years, $7.5 million).
