U.S. sprinter Debbie Dunn withdraws from relay team after positive test

United States Olympic sprinter Debbie Dunn has withdrawn from the 4 x 400 relay team after a positive test for elevated testosterone/epitestosterone levels, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Dunn, 34, finished fourth in the 400 at the U.S. Olympic Trials last month and made the relay team. It is unclear who will take her place.

In a statement following the Tribune's report, Dunn said she was withdrawing in order to not be a distraction for her teammates.

"While I work with USADA to resolve this matter, I am withdrawing from my relay pool position for the 2012 Olympic Games. I do not want any issue like this to distract from my teammates’ focus for the biggest meet of their lives. I wish Team USA best in London as I work toward resolving this matter."
