Washington Redskins sign No. 2 pick Robert Griffin III

Hold on to your socks, Washingtonians.

Robert Griffin III officially became a Redskin Wednesday morning, signing up to be the face of the franchise.

According to Pro Football Talk, RG3's deal is worth four years and $21,119,098 in guaranteed money. Included in that sum is a $13 million signing bonus.

Redskins rookies reported to camp on Monday, but Griffin was absent as he and the team worked on details of the contract.

The signing comes just one day after adidas released a commercial featuring RG3 endorsing the adizero 5 star shoe.
