Video: Matt Holliday hits longest home run in history of new Busch Stadium

Ryan Dempster of the Chicago Cubs was the hottest pitcher in the majors entering Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals, but the three runs he gave up in the first inning was just an appetizer.

The main course: the 469-foot solo blast Cardinals leftfielder Matt Holliday hit off Dempster in the third, the longest in the (brief) history of the new Busch Stadium, which opened in 2006.

MLB.com has the video.

The previous longest home run was a 465-foot shot by Albert Pujols in August 2011.
