League sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports that the Los Angeles Clippers' director of player personnel, Gary Sacks, is the favorite to be named the team's general manager.
The Clips have been without a G.M. since Neil Olshey did an about-face and fled to Portland on June 4. Sacks has been part of the braintrust running L.A. in the interim and has long been mentioned as a leading contender to succeed Olshey. Sacks, a UCLA grad, is entering his 19th season with the Clippers franchise, having worked many lower-level jobs in basketball operations before being promoted to assistant director of player personnel and then director of scouting.
