The fallout from Chad Johnson's domestic abuse arrest continues. Brian Stelter at the New York Times reports that VH1 has shelved a reality show the channel had filmed over the past several months titled Ev & Ocho. The show chronicled the marriage of Johnson to his wife Evelyn, and was set to air its first episode on September 3rd.

According to a statement from the network, there are no longer any plans to air the show.

Evelyn Johnson herself was already something of a reality TV star after her role on Basketball Wives, where she starred thanks to having been married to NBA forward Antoine Walker. Chad Johnson was formerly a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.

Johnson was apprehended by Fort Lauderdale, FL police over the weekend for allegedly headbutting his wife during an argument. The Miami Dolphins terminated Johnson's contract on Sunday in response to the incident.
