Davin Joseph injury: Buccaneers RG leaves game after taking blow to knee

Bad news potentially on the way for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Offensive line stalwart Davin Joseph, their right guard, was carted off the field late in the second quarter of Friday's preseason game against the New England Patriots with what appeared to be a right knee injury.

Stephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the early word from the locker room is that the injury is likely season-ending.

Joseph, a two-time Pro Bowl selection who signed a seven-year, $52.5 million deal last summer (the second-biggest ever given to a guard), was hurt when left tackle Donald Penn pushed a defender into Joseph's leg. Ted Larsen replaced Joseph on Friday and is the likely starter if Joseph goes on IR.
