Jets starters sent to leadership training instead of practice

The New York Jets sent 19 starters, including quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow, to leadership training on Wednesday, reports The Star-Ledger's Jenny Vrentas.

In June, many of the Jets' coaches and front office staff did the training led by a former Army Special Forces member, Vrentas reports. The team also decided to have the players try it. Because most of the starters won't be playing in the preseason finale on Thursday, it was the right time for them to miss a practice.
