Former Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant has signed a deal to play for the Washington Redskins, reports The Washington Post.

Terms were not disclosed.

Grant worked out for the Chicago Bears and was deciding between offers of other teams before deciding on the Redskins.  The Redskins have one healthy running back on the roster, rookie Alfred Morris. Evan Royster is dealing with a strained patella tendon and and Roy Helu Jr. is out with turf toe.  It is unclear what roster move the Redskins made to make room for Grant.

Grant was released by the Packers after the end of last season when he had 134 carries for 559 yards in 14 games.
