New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes has a Lisfranc injury in his left foot and is likely to be out for the remainder of the season, reports NFL.com.

Holmes, the team's leading receiver, sustained the injury in the fourth quarter of the Jets 34-0 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. It's the same injury that caused Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub to miss significant time last season, including the team's playoff run to the AFC Divisional Round.

Holmes has 20 receptions for 272 yards and one touchdown this season. The injury is a huge blow to the Jets as they have already lost All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis to a torn ACL in his left knee.
