One of the Texas Longhorns' top returning players is under investigation by the NCAA, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
The report states that the NCAA is looking into the relationship between sophomore guard Myck Kabongo and sports agent Rich Paul, who also represents LeBron James, The Cleveland Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson, and The San Antonio Spurs' Cory Joseph.
One element of the NCAA's investigation is said to be a trip Kabongo took to Cleveland this spring, where he worked out with a trainer that works with players across the NBA. The NCAA is siad to be investigating who paid for Kabongo's airfare and expenses. Under NCAA rules, players lose eligibility by having any sort of professional relationship with an agent before declaring for the NBA Draft. Kabongo was projected to go in the second round of the 2012 draft had he declared, but is now expected to be a first-round choice should he turn pro in 2013.
