Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson made an emotional return to FedEx Field, where he severely injured his left knee last Christmas Eve. Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins turned even more emotional for Peterson when he and Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall got in each other's face following a first-quarter play.

Peterson said he was responding to a dirty play by Hall, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

"He slapped me in the face after making a good tackle," Peterson said. "And I was just telling him, 'Hey, don't do me like that, brother.' I looked him in the eyes and he knew I meant business."
Hall has a long reputation for talking trash and making headlines, whether targeting an injured NFC East rival or criticizing his own rookie quarterback.
