Houston Texans safety Danieal Manning has been fined $15,000 by the NFL for punching Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Marshall Newshouse during their matchup Oct. 14, according to a report Wednesday afternoon from Dale Robertson of The Houston Chronicle:

“I was hating on him at that moment,” Manning said, “but it’s over. Things like that happen all the time in games.”
Manning was at the bottom of the pile with the 319-pound Newhouse appearing to take his time getting up. He said he expected to be fined because he was flagged for a personal foul on the play. But he plans to appeal the fine to explain why it happened. He said he was "hating on him" at the moment for taking his time to get up but admitted that they crossed paths later on in the game and apologized.
