Kevin Love goes bald care of Larry Fitzgerald, duo to donate up to $250K for cancer research

Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love and Arizona Cardinals pro-bowl wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald are teaming up to spread awareness for cancer research. Love and Fitzgerald will each donate 25 cents for every time their YouTube video is viewed, gets a “retweet” on Twitter or a “like” or “share” on Facebook. The video, posted Oct. 24, shows Love getting his head shaved bald by Fitzgerald as another way to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"Kevin and I are here today to make sure nobody has to lose a mother, a sister, a daughter to this disease and we're going to do everything in our power to make sure that happens," said Fitzgerald.

Their initiative runs through the end of October. Love will donate his share to Bright Pink and Fitzgerald will donate to American Cancer Society/Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. Fitzgerald lost his mother, Carol, to breast cancer in 2003 and Love's close friend was diagnosed with it earlier in 2012:

“This is a special campaign that is particularly close to my heart,” Love said. “As an active member of the social media community, my hope is that Spreadlove will reach millions and encourage as many people as possible to support the cause. It just takes one click.”
