Report: NFL to postpone trade deadline for Hurricane Sandy

The National Football League is the latest organization to postpone official business thanks to Hurricane Sandy. Gregg Rosenthal at NFL.com reports that the league may push back the league's trade deadline, originally set for 4 p.m. Tuesday, thanks to the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

The so-called "Frankenstorm" has led to the shutdown of several teams' offices along the eastern seaboard, while NFL headquarters in New York is shut down today and will be closed again on Tuesday.

Hurricane Sandy has caused major flooding to cities all along the East Coast, leading New York City to shut down its public transportation system and encourage evacuation from low-lying areas.

UPDATE (1:51 PM): NFL Spokesman Greg Aiello has confirmed via Twitter that the trade deadline will be postponed until Thursday.
