Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant confirmed through his Facebook page that he will play in the team's season opener Tuesday night at home against the Dallas Mavericks. Bryant missed the Lakers' final two preseason games with a right foot sprain.

Bryant posted this message on his Facebook page:

Feeling good enough to play tonight! I’ll use my strong midsoles for added cushion on the foot for more protection. Looking forward to this journey as I'm sure you are. It's Go Time. Mamba out

Bryant participated in the Tuesday morning shootaround and said he was “85 percent” sure he would play against the Mavericks and would wait to make a decision after practice to see how his foot responded following the shootaround.
