Josh Childress goes back on the injury report with a mild ankle sprain and has a way to go before he can play consistently.

Small forward Gerald Wallace sprained his ankle last week late in the fourth quarter of the Nets opener against the Toronto Raptors. He missed Monday's game against the Timberwolves and will now sit out against the Heat. Coach Avery Johnson says Wallace's status remains day-to-day. Wallace has been a reliable defender this season, and with Miami leading the league in scoring, his absence could be a game changer.
