Rice transfer Arsalan Kazemi will be eligible to play for Oregon this season, according to CBSSports.com.
Oregon coach Dana Altman was told Kazemi, a 6-foot-7 native of Iran, had received a waiver from the NCAA to play for the Ducks this season.
Kazemi, a three-year starter, was among six Rice players to leave coach Ben Braun's program since the end of the 2011-12 season. Former Rice teammate Omar Oraby received his waiver to play at USC last week.
