Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has passed all the NFL mandated concussion protocols and will start Sunday for the Bears against the Minnesota Vikings, reports CBSSports.com.

Cutler was listed as questionable for the game and was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday. He did not travel with the team in the Bears' 32-7 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.

"He has progressed as we wanted him to do," Bears coach Lovie Smith said earlier this week. "As I've said, it's looking good. One more step to get him evaluated by an independent neurologist. Jay Cutler is getting better, was able to do more than he did yesterday."

Cutler suffered a concussion late in the first half of the Nov. 11 loss to the Houston Texans.
