A NFL spokesman said Monday that Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh will not be suspended for a hit on Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub.

During the first quarter of the Texans' 34-31 overtime win over the Lions, Suh appeared to kick Schaub's groin as Suh was rolling to the ground. League spokesman Greg Aiello said on Twitter that Suh has been notified about not being suspended, but the play will be reviewed for a potential fine. Suh did not have a chance to explain his version of the Schaub hit as he left the locker room area without speaking to reporters.

The NFL handed Suh a two-game suspension after he stomped on Green Bay Packers guard Evan Dietrich-Smith's arm in last season's Thanksgiving game.
