Los Angeles Clippers guard Chauncey Billups has been declared out indefinitely just games after he made his long-awaited return from injury. The Clippers announced the news before their game against the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night.

Billups will miss time due to tendonitis in his left foot. According to the Clippers, the injury is unrelated to the injury to the left achilles tendon Billups tore 10 months ago. Billups started three games last week for the Clippers, but told ESPN that he never felt 100% in his appearances.

""Honestly, in that Utah game, it was really painful and I couldn't really push off my left foot," Billups said. "It was just really weak. I couldn't explode off of it, I couldn't cut. Everything I was doing, I was just getting through it. I said, 'I should be better than this.'"
