On the heels of back-to-back losses against the Wizards and Knicks, LeBron James admits that the Heat are in a funk.
According to the Associated Press, James and his teammates maintained an unusually serious post-practice demeanor and shared a long chat after Friday's practice.
"There is a cloud over our team because we're not defending like we know we're capable of defending," James said. "We have some room for improvement. The good thing is we can be great. But right now, we're not good. We're not very good right now as a team and we've got to get to that point."
The defending NBA champions aren't even enjoying their wins. Six of Miami's 12 wins have required late rallies to close out opponents. The loss to the lowly Wizards made headlines
and raised eyebrows around the NBA. Both losses revealed a Heat defense that has struggled of late
, giving up 105 points to the Wizards and 112 points to the Knicks.
