Hornets forward/center Anthony Davis will return to the lineup on Tuesday night against the Wizards, reports the Times-Picayune's Jimmy Smith. Davis, who was the overall No. 1 draft pick last season, missed 11 games with a sprained ankle. In his six games prior to the injury, Davis was averaging 16 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 28.3 minutes.
The Hornets will also play Wednesday night in Oklahoma City, so coach Monty Williams may limit Davis's minutes, but the team will welcome his return--the Hornets have the worst record in the West (5-14) and are last in the conference in total rebounds.
