Skip Holtz has been offered the head coaching job at Louisiana Tech, per a source in a report from Bruce Feldman of CBSSports.com via Twitter. Holtz reportedly is expected to accept the job within the next two hours.

Holtz was in the market for a new job after being fired by the University of South Florida at the end of the 2012 season. USF produced its worst season in school history, 3-9 overall and 1-6 in Big East play, in Holtz's final year. In three years at USF, Holtz was 16-21 overall and 5-16 in the Big East.

Louisiana Tech has been looking for a head coach since Sonny Dykes took the job at Cal. The Bulldogs were 9-3 overall record and 4-2 record in the WAC under Dykes in 2012. https://twitter.com/BFeldmanCBS/status/279352479928442880
