Report: Cubs sign Edwin Jackson to 4-year, $52M deal

The Cubs have finalized a four-year, $52-million deal with right-handed pitcher Edwin Jackson, according to Patrick Mooney of CSNChicago.

ESPN.com's Buster Olney first reported Jackson and the Cubs were close to a contract.

Jackson was 10-11 with an ERA of 4.03 in 31 starts for the Nationals last season, after splitting 2011 with the White Sox and Cardinals. He is 70-71 with a 4.40 ERA in a career that started with the Dodgers in 2003. A highlight was Jackson's 150-pitch no-hitter as a Diamondback in 2010.
