Patriots reportedly won't play Rob Gronkowski against Jaguars

Tight end Rob Gronkowski will not play for the Patriots Sunday against the Jaguars, according to Shalise M. Young of the Boston Globe.

The Patriots may be taking extra care not to rush Gronkowski back before the playoffs. He was expected to need four-to-six weeks of recovery time after breaking his arm late in the Patriots' 59-24 blowout win over the Colts on Nov. 18.

The Patriots currently own the AFC's third-best record and remain in contention for homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, but will be heavily favored to close out the regular season with wins against the Jaguars and Dolphins.
