Boston Celtics forward/center Chris Wilcox will miss the next month with a thumb injury, head coach Doc Rivers announced Sunday afternoon. Wilcox injured his thumb in last week's game against Chicago - an injury that has since been diagnosed as an ulnar collateral sprain.
It isn't known exactly how much time Wilcox could miss with the injury, but the initial reports hover at around one month on the sidelines.
Wilcox has been steady presence off the bench for the Celtics, averaging a career-high .598 from the field in 28 games.
