Osi Umenyiora: 'High probability' I won't be with Giants next season

The New York Giants Osi Umenyiora told reporters this week that Sunday could be his last game with the team. The former two-time Pro-Bowl defensive end will seek a new contract once his current one is up at the end of the season and expects to land with a team that will use him as a starter. He said he's not a "situational pass-rusher" but said anyone who watches tape of him can't say that he's not a starter in the NFL.

The Giants could still make the playoffs if they beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and if the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys each lose their game. But, if the Giants lose, he said "wholesale changes" will be made because there wasn't one player on the team who lived up to expectations this season:

"We can get into the playoffs. Anything is possible. But it's a high probability that I'm going to be playing somewhere else and I think everybody knows that. Let's not kid ourselves.[I[f they're going to be making changes, it has to be wholesale changes. Everybody has to leave. There has to be changes for everybody because nobody played above average this year."
