Former MLB outfielder Andruw Jones was arrested on Christmas morning and charged with battery, according to Fox 5, an Atlanta television station.

Jones, a five-time MLB All-Star, was arrested at 4 a.m. ET on Tuesday. Jones was released from jail after posting a $2,400 bail.

Jones, 35, spent last season with the New York Yankees and had played 17 MLB seasons. This offseason, he signed a $3.5 million, one-year contract with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Japan's Pacific League.

In his big league career, Jones was a career .254 hitter with 434 home runs, 1,289 RBIs, 1,933 hits and 1,204 runs scored and won 10 consecutive Gold Gloves.
