Scott Pioli reportedly out as Chiefs GM
Scott Pioli is out as the Kansas City Chiefs general manager according to ESPN.com's Adam Schefter.
The move likely precedes the hiring of head coach Andy Reid and the addition of new front-office personnel who have experience working with Reid including recently fired Browns general manager Tom Heckert and/or Packers director of operations John Dorsey.
Reid, who was fired by the Eagles after leading them to the playoffs nine times in 14 seasons, reportedly cancelled interviews with the Cardinals and Chargers.
The Chiefs hired Pioli as general manager in 2009 after eight years as vice-president/player personnel for the Patriots. He was a five-time winner of the NFL Executive of the Year award while helping when the Patriots win three Super Bowls and four AFC championships. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/287212325319110656
