Now that the Jacksonville Jaguars are close to naming a new general manager in David Caldwell, head coach Mike Mularkey might be on his way out, reports CBSSports.com.

If Mularkey is let go, the favorite to take his place is San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman. Roman and Caldwell were roommates in the 1990s at John Carroll University in Ohio. In Mularkey's first season in Jacksonville, the Jaguars went 2-14. Mularkey has been a head coach in the NFL for a total of four seasons compiling a career record of 21-41.
