Jimmy Johnson: Bears hire CFL's Marc Trestman as head coach

The Chicago Bears have selected Canadian Football League coach Marc Trestman as their new head coach according to Fox Sports' Jimmy Johnson via Twitter.

The Bears have not made an official announcement yet.

Trestman, 56, has been head coach of the CFL's Montreal Alouettes for the past five years, winning two Grey Cups in three championship games.

His NFL resume includes stints teaching the West Coast offense as offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for the Browns, Cardinals, Dolphins, 49ers, Lions, Raiders and Vikings.
