49ers' Colin Kaepernick files for trademark on signature pose name
Move over Tebowing, Te'oing and Griffining. Here comes Kaepernicking.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has filed for a trademark to his signature pose with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He filed for the trademark on Jan. 14.
Kaepernick celebrates touchdowns by flexing his right arm and kissing his bicep and the internet craze started to call the gesture "Kaepernicking." Kaepernick, a second-year player out of Nevada, has started nine NFL games and has led his team to Super Bowl XLVII against the Baltimore Ravens. Kaepernick has thrown for 496 yards and three touchdowns in two playoff victories.
